Every fact has a source
No link, no publication. Primary sources come first: authorities, then operators.
Confirmation is always labelled
CONFIRMED means an authority document. ANNOUNCED means an official operator statement. SIGNAL? means unverified: it can appear in the log, never in the tracker.
Status means the same thing everywhere
OPERATING: in regular operation or open to the public. TESTING: on public roads, limited or closed. PLANNED: announced, not yet on the road. Supervision is shown separately.
No forecasts presented as facts
An ETA appears only when an official timetable exists. Otherwise: n.d.
Corrections are public
Every correction is dated and listed with the item it changes.

Community and social sources help find leads. They are never cited as the final source of a fact, and nothing from them enters the tracker without confirmation.

I'm Giacomo, a Milanese turned Zürcher.
One of the things I appreciate most about Switzerland is the way it holds technological innovation, tradition and nature in a balance that is rare elsewhere.
AI and robotics may change human life even more than the industrial revolution did. I swing between wonder and worry, but I let curiosity win, especially when it comes to exploring and testing automated driving systems first-hand.
I have always loved driving and modern classic cars. Over the years, safety came to matter more and more to me, and so did my fascination with driver assistance and automated driving. It probably all started in front of the TV, watching Knight Rider as a child and asking my grandfather whether KITT really existed in America, and whether it would ever come to us.
Robocars have now arrived for real. They can make roads safer, change how people travel and interact with their vehicles, and they are making new mobility services possible.
New technologies in physical AI need clear, verifiable information to be understood: the facts, the perspectives of everyone involved, and a clean line between signal and noise, whether that noise is hype or rejection on principle. That is what AVTower sets out to offer: a virtual control tower that observes and records how automated driving is arriving in Switzerland, one sourced fact at a time.
